Actor Mikail Gandhi is receiving a lot of love for his acting in the recently released web series Kafas, which sheds light on the life of a child actor. It is interesting how the protagonist of the show is also an actor who faced the camera when he was just six months old.
In a quick chat with the actor, OTTplay tries to find out if starting acting at such a tender age has given him any advantage.
Mikail told OTTplay, "I got my first opportunity when I was six months old, and it was for an ad film for a baby. Since then, I have appeared in multiple ad films because opportunities were coming my way, and I kept doing them. I was not planning to start early; it was just that opportunities came my way. Then I did my first movie and a couple of more projects, including South Indian films. I also won an award, the Nandi Award for a South film. So in the last 14 years, I have worked on various projects, and now finally Kafas. It is true that I cannot imagine my life without acting."
The actor appeared in the Telugu film Supreme as his debut and played the childhood of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar in the docu-drama Sachin: A Billion Dreams. He also acted in web series like Typewriter, Mentalhood, His Story, Mai: A Mother's Rage, Tanaav, and Dahaad in the recent past.
In the show, Kafas plays the character of Sunny, and the intense performance of the young actor is highly appreciated.
The show, directed by Sahil Sanga, also stars Sharman Joshi, Mona Singh, Zarina Wahab, and Mona Wasu, among others, and is streaming on SonyLiv.
