Kajol calls The Trial co-star Kubbra Sait 'rare' person: 'She handles criticism with wonderfully positive attitude'

Kubbra Sait is an actress and TV host. She plays the role of Sana Shaikh, a consultant at the law firm where the protagonist, Noyonika Sengupta (played by Kajol), works in The Trial series. Both Kajol and Kubbra return as Noyonika and Sana, respectively, in The Trial Season 2. During the trailer launch event on August 22, Kajol showered praise on Kubbra and said that she handles negativity with a wonderful attitude. 

During the trailer launch event of The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha Season 2, Kajol was asked about her co-star, Kubbra Sait. She showered praise on her and shared what she likes most about Kubbra.

Kajol said, "Kubbra is one of the most rare people who handles criticism, wit, and, as you put it, maybe not betrayal. I have not seen her with that, but any sort of negativity with such a wonderfully positive attitude, that it does not turn out to be that, eventually, she turns it into something else. So I think that's something I truly admire about her."

Speaking about The Trial Season 2, Kajol said that the new season is much more interesting and complex. It is a common story that depicts the strength of women. "I think every woman has that strength and for her children, sometimes for herself, they make decisions in their life and some day Noyonika is a good mother, some day she is a good lawyer, depends on the day and depends on the episode," she said.

Talking about her character Noyonika, Kajol said that for her, there is financial consideration, children involved in it, society involved in it, and her job is also involved in it. She also added that Noyonika is not weak so much as she is taking her time to make the right decision because it's not only her she is talking about. "It's not only her that she has to consider, so it's got to do with so many other factors." 

The Trial is an Indian legal drama starring Kajol as Noyonika Sengupta, a homemaker-lawyer who returns to her legal career after her husband, Rajiv (Jisshu Sengupta), a judge, is imprisoned for corruption and a sex scandal. In the new season, she faces more complex personal and professional challenges.
