Kajol hints at Ajay Devgn's Shaitaan Universe expansion with Maa | Surprise announcement inside

Kajol has hinted at Shaitaan expanding into a Universe. The actress made a surprise announcement in which she shared the title of her next project. Titled Maa, this comes from the world of Shaitaan, originally featuring her husband Ajay Devgn (who is the producer of Maa).

Kajol has just announced that Shaitaan is expanding its Universe. The actress might have also revealed the title of the upcoming film by sharing the hashtag 'Maa.' This is the Vishal Furia directorial that also stars Indraneil Sengupta, Ronit Roy and Jitin Gulati in pivotal roles. While Shaitaan revolved around the story of a father protecting his family when his daughter gets possessed with the help of a guest at home, Maa is about a woman going lengths to protect her daughter from evil. Other details about the film are under the wraps. However, Kajol promises it all would be revealed in less than 24 hours.

About Shaitaan Universe

Shaitaan 2 was already in the works, which is when Kajol surprised all with another announcement. This time, she has hinted at the expansion of Shaitaan Universe through her film called Maa. The original film featured Ajay Devgn as a father go against R. Madhavan who is the uninvited guest in his house. This guest turns out to be the family’s biggest nightmare because he somehow has the daughter of the family (played by Janki Bodiwala) under possession. The movie, adapted from Janki’s own Gujarati film Vash, became one of the biggest hits of 2024 and has now expanded into a Universe.

Kajol was last seen in the Netflix film Do Patti. The movie featured Kriti Sanon in double role.

The Salaam Venky actress, Kajol, is now a part of Kayoze Irani's Sarzameen. The movie features Prithviraj and Ibrahim Ali Khan in the lead roles. She also features opposite Prabhudheva, Naseeruddin Shah and Jisshu Sengupta in Maharagni - Queen of Tears.
