Kajol is one of the most lauded actresses of Bollywood because of her acting prowess and remarkable career choices. The actress made her acting debut with Rahul Rawail’s 1992 film Bekhudi and has not looked back ever since. One of her popular films, Dushman, released in 1998, has completed 25 years of its making today. The actress took to Twitter and posted about the psychological thriller film, saying it was one of the "scariest films she ever said yes to".
While sharing a post displaying scenes from the film, Dushman, Kajol captioned the post with, "#25years to Dushman. One of the scariest films I have ever said yes to or even watched for that matter. #AshutoshRana scared the crap out of me on screen and I’m sure out of all of you guys as well. And a big thanks till today to #PoojaBhatt and #TanujaChandra for making me so comfortable with such an uncomfortable topic. It is still such an uncomfortable film for me to watch! #WomenRock #StillWorking #SanjayDutt #FabFilm."
Tanuja’s directorial debut, Dushman, also starred Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Rana, Tanvi Azmi and Jas Arora, among others. Produced by Pooja Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, Kajol plays a double role in the film - as Naina and Sonia Sehgal. It was a remake of the Hollywood film, Eye For An Eye.
Kajol’s performance in the film bagged her Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination in 1999, that she eventually won for Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Ashutosh won the award for Best Villain.
Kajol has been part of blockbuster films such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and many more. She was last seen in Revathy’s Salaam Venky, alongside Vishal Jethwa. Next, the actress will be making her OTT debut on Disney+ Hotstar with The Good Wife.
