Kalamkaval release postponed! Makers of the Mammootty-starrer confirm with new poster

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam thriller, Kalamkaval, have put an end to suspicions confirming its release postponement today (November 21). With a new poster, they confirmed the delay in film's release and a new date will be unveiled soon. "Delayed, NOT Diminished. We hear you... The wait is noted. The Venom Beneath Will Arrive Soon !!," they wrote on a social media post.

To the delight of cinema buffs and fans of the Malayalam megastar, the film, which features Mammootty and Vinayakan in the key parts, was scheduled to open on the big screen on November 27. But for the previous two days, rumours about the movie's delayed release have been making the rounds on social media. 

The producers have not provided a specific explanation for the theatrical release's postponement. But according to reports, Kalamkaval has been delayed because the OTT agreement hasn't been finalised yet. Additionally, Mammootty's previous two films, Bazooka and Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, have not yet made their OTT debut. The theatrical launch of Mohanlal's Thudarum was recently delayed due to a similar problem with selling its OTT rights before release.
