Kalamkaval trailer: Mammootty builds a sense of dread by asking, "What gives you the pleasure of killing?"

Two weeks before Kalamkaval's theatrical premiere, the film's producers released the trailer today (November 13). The style in which that the clip is put together piques viewers' interest in both Mammootty's character and the storyline.

An fascinating case that occurred in the little village of Kottayikonam in Trivandrum, close to the Tamil Nadu border, is explained to the audience in what appears to be a crime programme on a television channel. 

"A serious altercation breaks out among two youngsters and their friends. It quickly turns into a riot between the region's two dominating communities. The Kerala Police Special Investigation Team finds startling facts they never anticipated while delving into the depths of these communal clashes". The host explains that what transpires is the tale of an astonishing investigation when they understand they have arrived at an indication of a major crime scenario. The police officers portrayed by Vinayakan and Gibin Gopinath are then shown in the trailer searching for a suspect in this crime. 

At the end of the trailer, Mammootty's character is shown asking, "Do you know what gives the greatest pleasure when you kill it?" while smoking a cigarette. This has increased anticipation for the movie's upcoming theatrical release.

Mammootty is making his big-screen comeback with this eagerly anticipated Malayalam movie after being out of the spotlight due to illness. On October 23, the Malayalam megastar announced on social media platforms that Kalamkaval would, in fact, be released globally on November 27. This movie recently received a U/A16+ certification from the CBFC after completing censorship procedures. In addition to Mammootty and Vinayakan, actors Gibin Gopinath, Meera Jasmine, Gayathri Arun, and Rajisha Vijayan are a part of Kalamkaval's supporting cast. Dulquer Salmaan is also said to have a cameo role in this thriller.
