Kalidas Jayaram to tie the knot with Tarini Kalingarayar soon, Jayaram announces wedding date and venue

Kalidas Jayaram, who recently was seen in the Dhanush-starrer Raayan, is all set to marry his long-time sweetheart Tarini Kalingarayar. The wedding will be held at Guruvayur in Kerala on December 8. The couple have already kickstarted the pre-wedding celebrations in Chennai and during the event, Kalidas’ father actor Jayaram announced the wedding date and venue. The proud father also expressed his happiness over the joyous occasion and said that Tarini is ‘like his daughter’ only.

During Kalidas and Tarini’s pre-wedding celebrations, Jayaram said that this is one of the happiest days of his life as this has been a dream-come-true moment for him and his wife Parvathy. “Our dream is finally coming true. When we used to go for shooting and all, have heard a lot about Kalingarayar family. Now, we are really blessed to have Tarini, who is from such a big family, come to her home as our daughter-in-law. Tarini is like our daughter only. I am grateful to God. The wedding will be held at Guruvayur on December 8," Jayaram said in Tamil.

Speaking at the event, Kalidas too said that this is one of the most important and happiest moments of his life. “I am starting a new life with Tarini, we would like to have all your blessings,” the Raayan actor said.

This is the second wedding in Jayaram’s family this year. Jayaram’s younger daughter and Kalidas’ sister, Malavika, got married to Navaneet Girish in May 2024.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kalidas had starred alongside Dhanush and S J Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, and Sundeep Kishan in the action thriller film Raayan. The film, which was also directed by Dhanush, is available on Prime Video. Kalidas also starred in Por.

Kalidas entered the cinema industry as a child artist in the Jayaram-starrer Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal. He even won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his performance in Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum. 

As a lead actor, he has worked in both Tamil and Malayalam film industries. Other notable projects of the actor include Poomaram and Paava Kadhaigal.
