Amitabh Bachchan turned 81 today and to celebrate his birthday his character's look from the upcoming movie Kalki 2898 AD was released. Amitabh sports a mysterious avatar dressed like a mythical being from a different century. He stands within a cave, exuding an air of divinity through his poised stance.

Amitabh's look inspires a lot of curiosity. It's safe to assume that he's playing an aged man with superhuman abilities. His character will play the role of the mentor in the hero's journey, imparting invaluable knowledge, wisdom, and skills to guide the protagonist toward fulfilling his destiny.

Kalki 2898 AD is a futuristic science-fiction movie. Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie is made at a massive cost to producers. The filmmakers have been promoting the movie on a global scale.

India's biggest science-fiction movie

Kalki 2898 AD is headlined by Telugu superstar Prabhas. But, the movie boasts the biggest star ensemble, including Amitabh, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone.

The filmmakers are promoting Kalki 2898 AD as "India's first mytho-sci-fi epic." Nag Ashwin is said to have drawn inspiration from the rich mythological history of the country and has blended with the possibilities of the science-fiction genre.

The teaser for Kalki 2898 AD received a grand launch earlier this year at the San Diego Comic-Con festival. Kamal, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Nag Ashwin and other key members of the movie's production team attended the event to draw global attention to the movie.

The production of Kalki 2898 AD is going on at a brisk phase.

It's noteworthy that Amitabh was forced to take a break from the shooting after he suffered an injury on the sets of Kalki 2898 AD, which was earlier titled Project K.
