Kamal Haasan, who is currently at the Cannes Film Festival, will soon appear on Village Food Factory for the promotion of Vikram. The YouTube channel is known for posting cooking videos set in rural settings and boasts over 4.6 million subscribers.
In the film, Vikram, chefs from Village Food Factory, will also appear in a wedding sequence. It is anticipated that Vikram's promotion will be helped by the massive reach of the YouTube channel. Additionally, the Village Food Factory YouTubers see it as a great collaboration.
It's unclear what the video features, but it should feature Kamal Haasan. Meanwhile, a source tells OTTplay, "Recently, Kamal sir shot a promotional episode with the chefs of Village Food Factory. But for now, we don't know when the episode will be aired."
This will mark Kamal Haasan's debut on YouTube. In earlier interviews, the actor had spoken about his love for food.
Vikram's teaser shows Kamal Haasan setting the dining table for guests. Afterwards, several men gather at the dining table to eat, but their faces aren't shown. Soon, the camera shows guns stacked under the table. As the teaser ends, Kamal takes out those weapons and throws them with aggressive expressions.

This is Kamal’s first film release since 2018’s Vishwaroopam 2, as the actor-politician has been busy with his political career and hosting the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil.
Interestingly, Vikram was also the title of a 1986 action-adventure film directed by Rajasekhar, starring Kamal Haasan and Sathyaraj, among others.
The limited-edition Vikram NFTs were launched on May 18, 2022, at Cannes Film Festival amongst the global film fraternity.
The project, according to a press release, was a ticket to the experience. "Many more utilities like unique artwork of characters, digital avatars, props, posters, film memorabilia, fan interaction moments, private screenings, and access to invite-only VistaDome parties," were offered.
Commenting on the launch of Vistaverse, Kamal Haasan said, “It has been a pleasure to be a part of Fantico, and I look forward to Vistaverse which is uniquely placed to create a bridge between fans, fandom and talent in a language and platform that the youth today relates to. I am sure this will set a benchmark for more creators to use this disruption of content by blockchain for their future endeavours.”
The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial is all set to have a theatrical release on June 3.
