Kamal Haasan to play the titular character in Vikram; character poster revealed

The makers of Lokesh Kanagaraj's latest offering Vikram have been releasing one character poster after the other. While Fahadh Faasil's character is named Amar in the film, Vijay Sethupathi's character is called Santhanam. Suriya's character was kept under wraps, like from the beginning of the film. The makers released the character poster with a question mark. And now, the makers have revealed the poster of Kamal Haasan himself and the actor will playing a character called Vikram. 

In the meantime, Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is distributing the film across Tamil Nadu, watched the film and said that Vikram would be a sure-shot blockbuster. He wrote on his social media page, "#Vikram super👏🏽👍🏼👍🏼👏🏽thx to ulaganayakan @ikamalhaasan sir @Dir_Lokesh @VijaySethuOffl @anirudhofficial #Fahad @turmericmediaTM and the whole team for this movie experience ! Sure blockbuster ! (sic)." Kamal Haasan thanked Udhayanidhi Stalin and wrote, "Dear @Udhaystalin thambi. Thanks for your glowing first view report on #Vikram . You had proclaimed yourself as a fan. Your report will enthuse all my other brothers to dizzying heights. @RKFI @turmericmediaTM #VikramHitlist (sic)."

The supporting star cast comprises Gayathrie Shankar, Antony Verghese, Narain, Arjun Das, Kalidas Jayaram, Shanvi Srivastava, Shivani Narayanan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sampath Ram and Hareesh Peradi. Cinematography for the film is by Girish Gangadharan and editing is by Philomin Raj. Music for the film is by Anirudh.

Vikram marks Anirudh's second outing with Kamal Haasan after Indian 2. This is also his second collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj after the Vijay- Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Master. This is Fahadh's third film in Tamil after Velaikkaran and Super Deluxe. Vikram NFTs will be launched at the Cannes Film Festival 2022, for which the film's leading man Kamal Haasan was present. 

Vikram has got the 'UA' certificate from the Censor Board of Certification and the film's run time spans 173 minutes.The digital rights have been bagged by Disney + Hotstar and the satellite rights have been acquired by Star Vijay.
