Kamal Haasan to quit Bigg Boss Season 6? THIS cited as the reason

If the buzz in the industry is to be believed, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is all set to quit Bigg Boss Season 6. The reason being cited is the plunging TRP in the sixth season. The sixth edition has been considered one of the most 'boring' seasons of the show, ever since its inception in Tamil in 2017  and the contestant lineup has become a talking point among the fans of the show. Though every year there has been a decline in the viewership, it has taken a huge dip this time around. The audience too, we hear, are quite bored with the repeated situations and activities. Interestingly, Kamal Haasan himself has hinted at the dull participation of the contestants during the weekend episodes and at one point of time, had even sent them a stern warning.

Earlier, Silambarasan had taken over as the host for the OTT edition of Bigg Boss Tamil Ultimate after Kamal Haasan got busy with his action entertainer Vikram. Kamal Haasan had been hosting the show with utmost responsibility, ever since he took on the mantle. Even when he felt ill, he hosted the show over a video call. It was only once during last year that Ramya Krishnan had to step in as Kamal Haasan was down with Covid and was admitted to hospital.

On the film front, Kamal Haasan has a series of projects lined up. The actor is currently working on Shankar's vigilante thriller Indian 2, a project with H Vinoth and Mani Ratnam's much-awaited project, which is tentatively being referred to as KH234. The film will mark the comeback of the iconic duo of Nayakan after three decades. As a producer, Kamal Haasan has a series of projects lined up.

And with the parliamentary elections too coming up in 2024, it seems like the Ulaganayagan wants to prepare his party for the same as well. He will also be joining Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on his Bharat Jodo Yatra. 

An official confirmation is awaited on Kamal Haasan's decision on Bigg Boss and whether he will return for the seventh season.
