The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial is all set to hit screens on June 3

The much-awaited action entertainer Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead, is all set to hit screens on June 3. In the meantime, the film has got the 'UA' certificate from the Censor Board of Certification. The film's run time spans 173 minutes. Vikram also marks Kamal Haasan's first film to get a Twitter emoji, which was activated yesterday with just ten days for the release of the film. Vikram is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and has Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil sharing the screen space along with The film also has a cameo appearance by Suriya.
The supporting star cast comprises Gayathrie Shankar, Antony Verghese, Narain, Arjun Das, Kalidas Jayaram, Shanvi Srivastava, Shivani Narayanan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sampath Ram and Hareesh Peradi. Cinematography for the film is by Girish Gangadharan and editing is by Philomin Raj.
Vikram marks Anirudh's second outing with Kamal Haasan after Indian 2. The song Pathala Pathala, penned and crooned by Ulaganayagan himself has become one of the most viewed songs on YouTube.
In the meantime, we hear that the film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj is likely to make a brief appearance in the film. Interestingly, this is not the first time that Lokesh Kanagaraj has made an appearance in a film. He had earlier faced the camera in his previous directorial venture Master (starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi) as well. The team had managed to keep the presence of Suriya in the film under wraps. It was only during the audio launch of the film last week that Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed the news and later shared picture of the actor with the Vikram team.
The digital rights for Kamal Haasan's much-awaited film, Vikram has been bagged by Disney + Hotstar and the satellite rights have been acquired by Star Vijay. Vikram NFTs were recently launched at the Cannes Film Festival 2022.
