Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham trailer release: Nivin Pauly film looks like a mad ride filled with drama and laughter

Get ready for what Nivin Pauly calls a 'mad ride'. The actor's latest film Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham is all set to be out soon. The makers released an official trailer, sharing glimpses of what the film has in store for us, promising a fun satire. The movie, produced by the actor himself, also marks his OTT debut. It will release on Disney+Hotstar, marking the streaming giant's first Malayalam release.  

The trailer opens with Grace Antony complaining about how unromantic is her politician-husband, played by Nivin Pauly. It then follows the two as they go on a staycation at a hotel, which takes a hilarious turn. The film will mark Nivin's return to the comedy genre after two years. Watch the trailer here:

In a statement earlier, Nivin had announced his OTT debut, and said that the film has “eccentric characters, crazy situations and quirky humour”. Written and directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval, the film is produced by Nivin Pauly under his banner Pauly Jr Pictures. In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Ratheesh, who had previously helmed Android Kunjappan Ver. 5.25, told us, “Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham is an extremely quirky film and I am also a bit concerned about the quirkiness quotient because I don’t know if people will accept it. But, whoever has worked in the movie and has watched it too are really happy. When I showed it to some of my friends outside the team, like Sanu John Varghese, they were delighted with the film and making-wise, they said it’s above Android Kunjappan. I was glad to hear that feedback from a cameraman like Sanu.” 

The film has roped in Yakzen Gary Periera and Neha Nair as its music directors and Vinod Illampally as the DOP. The comedy film is all set to release on Disney+Hotstar on November 12.
