Kanchan Mullick and Sreemoyee Chattoraj step into a fresh spell of romantic life

After their registry marriage, Kanchan Mullick and Sreemoyee Chottoraj on Saturday night. The marriage was held according to Bengali rituals. Sreemoyee changed her surname and addressed herself as ‘Mrs Mullick’ several times. They are currently living in Kanchan’s Tollygunge flat. Sunday was the ‘Kalratri’ – when the bride and groom don’t see each other’s faces, according to Bengali rituals. The boubhat was on Monday. The bhat-kapor ritual took place in the morning. 

Sreemoyee told Anandabazar Online, “Kanchan is not letting me do anything. He is not even allowing me to make tea. He is asking me to take a rest and looking at me mesmerised.” What gift did she get from Kanchan after her marriage? How does she find her new life? 

The reception is on March 6. The actor-cum-MLA is giving his full time to Sreemoyee right now. He advised his wife to chill. Sreemoyee said, “He and his elder brother and sister-in-law are not letting me work. There will be a private boubhat on Monday. I said that I would cook meat at night and there would be mutton biryani.” 

Sunday was the ‘kalratri’. How was the next morning? Sreemoyee said, “Our conversation did not stop. We talked over a video call, switching off the camera. I woke up at noon on Monday. Kanchan looked at me amazed and said, “You look beautiful after marriage.” We did not romance before the wedding. We only discussed various things. Now we are getting the scope of romance.” However, Kanchan is also carrying out his responsibilities as a husband. He gifted a gold bangle and a golden chain to his wife. Right now, the Mullick family is busy with the last minute’s preparation for the reception on March 6.
