Kangana Ranaut calls her look in Chandramukhi 2 'very dramatic', drops BTS picture

Kangana Ranaut is back on the set of Chandramukhi 2! The actress, who will be teaming up with Raghava Lawrence for the sequel to Chandramukhi (2005), recently dropped a BTS picture of herself. In the picture, she is seen getting her makeup done. Kangana's team captioned the picture, "Back on the sets of my upcoming movie Chandramukhi 2… with me team … it’s a very dramatic look and situation… we are all very excited about it (sic)."

Kangana, we hear, is shooting for the climax sequence of the film in Mumbai. It is said that the team is filming the flashback scenes where Kangana plays Chandramukhi and Raghava Lawrence will appear as Vettaiyan (played by Superstar Rajinikanth in Chandramukhi).

The Dhaakad actress had earlier shared a picture of herself practising for a dance sequence along with choreographer Kala. Chandramukhi 2 marks Kangana's third film in Tamil after Dhaam Dhoom (2008) and Thalaivii (2021). While director Jeeva's Dhaam Dhoom opened to positive reviews, Thalaivii, a biopic on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa opened to mixed reviews and a box office failure.

The team had recently announced that a schedule for the film had been wrapped up. Lyca Productions, which is bankrolling the film, had shared a picture with the entire team and had captioned it, "That's a schedule wrap on the sets of #CM2  The star  studded 3rd schedule came to an end today with the cast & crew joining for a group pic! #Chandramukhi2  #PVasu @offl_Lawrence #KanganaRanaut @gkmtamilkumaran @LycaProductions #Subaskaran (sic)." They had also dropped the first-look poster of ace comedian Vadivelu and Raghava Lawrence in the film.

The sequel is directed by P Vasu, who had directed Chandramukhi, which starred Rajinikanth, Prabhu and Jyotika in the lead, along with Vadivelu, Nassar, Nayanthara, Vineeth, Vijayakumar, Sheela, KR Vijaya, Malavika, Vinaya Prasad to name a few. The film was a massive hit at the box office.
