Kangana Ranaut remarked on Thursday that films starring female-led films should not be labelled as "women-oriented." The star was addressing fans in Delhi at the trailer launch for her next spy thriller, Dhaakad. Ranaut believes they should abandon the concept of female-oriented or male-oriented cinema. This is not how one should watch a movie. A film should be viewed in its entirety. They shouldn't associate it with sexuality (gender). Women have made significant contributions to numerous films. The actor also said that they have suffered as a result of the fact that all credit is given to men.

Dhaakad, directed by Razneesh 'Razy' Ghai, is a film about child trafficking and female exploitation. Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta star in the film. While Dutta said that this distinction has begun to make female-oriented and male-oriented films, she believes that if they cease demarcating, normalcy will emerge.

Women weren't always treated fairly, according to Rampal. The actor continued saying that there was no equality and that they couldn't hide from that truth. Since he started in this business, he has done at least one woman-centered film every year. Rampal stated that he has always supported them, citing films such as Dil Hai Tumhara, Tehzeeb, and The Rapist as examples.

The actor claimed that his whole support system consists of women. Rampal has seen them up close, and they're powerful and talented. One will see they have a lot of depth, experience, and emotions if they don't give them a job on a surface level. The actor has never seen anyone labour harder than women. He added that Dhaakad is dedicated to the ladies.

Kangana added that all of the characters she has played in her career are formidable in their way, citing films like Queen, Panga, and Thalaivi. The actor called Dhaakad an "original" film and said the filmmaker was involved with the project from the start. She said that even Indian men don't get to act in such stylish action spy thrillers. Forget about female-centric films; there haven't been any male-centric films like this.

Dhaakad will be released on May 20, 2022, by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt Ltd in collaboration with Kamal Mukut, Sohel Maklai Productions, and Asylum Films.
