Kangana Ranaut praises Gadar 2, says Sunny Deol film has brought ‘nationalism back’

Sunny Deol has once again proved that when it comes to ruling box office, he is the king. With his recently released movie Gadar 2, the actor has revived the time when people visited theaters with their families and friends to watch Gadar: Ek Prem Katha on the big screens. As the movie received glowing reviews from audiences, critics, and Bollywood celebs, Sunny Deol and the team saw a record-breaking opening day gross of Rs 40 crore at the box office. Everyone is praising the Gadar 2 lead's star power and wishing him luck on this enormous accomplishment.

Yesterday, superstar Salman Khan took to his Instagram account and praised the film. He wrote, "Dhai kilo ka haath equals challis crore ki opening. Sunny paaji is killing it. Congrats to the entire team of Gadar 2. @iamsunnydeol @ameeshapatel9 @anilsharma_dir @iutkarsharma @zeestudiosofficial #TeamGadar."

And now, none other than Kangana Ranaut praised Sunny Deol for restoring the grandeur of Bollywood amidst this praise and conflicting assessments. 'Proper manly hero' was the description she used for Sunny Deol. "No mafia politics, no bought reviews, no fake propaganda, no buying of tickets through bulk corporate bookings, no cartoon looking actors, proper manly hero and proper massy content..." she posted on Instagram Stories.

Kangana further wrote, "Forget holiday, even if it was a solo release, first day could easily be ₹65-70 crore... but is is not just the economic drought that's getting over in the film industry but look at people. Happy to see cinema bringing excitement and nationalism back in people's lives... Long live Tara Singh, Sunny Deol."

The action movie, which is directed and produced by Anil Sharma, features Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, and Simrat Kaur in the key roles. Gadar 2 is the follow-up to the hugely successful 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The August 11 movie clashed with Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 at the box office.
