Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani has revealed the immense effort and dedication he poured into composing for the highly anticipated horror-comedy, Chandramukhi 2. In a recent tweet, Keeravani shared a plot point from the movie, where all main characters suffer from lack of sleep due to fear, mirroring his own experience of two months of "sleepless days and nights" while working on the film's music.
"Watched @LycaProductions Chandramukhi 2. The characters in the movie spend sleepless nights from fear of DEATH. For me, 2 months of sleepless days and nights for adding LIFE to the mind-blowing scenes with my efforts. GuruKiran & my friend Vidyasagar please wish me the best," tweeted MM Keeravani.
Chandramukhi 2 has seemingly left a lasting impression on Keeravani, especially considering it will be his first release after his historic Oscar win earlier this year. The composer made history with his dance number Naatu Naatu , which won the coveted Oscar for Best Original Music, making RRR the first Indian production to clinch such an award, triumphing over several international musicians. Keen anticipation surrounds the kind of music he has created for Chandramukhi 2.
Chandramukhi 2 is the sequal to the 2005 horror-comedy, which had Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead. In the upcoming movie, Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence take on the lead roles.
Chandramukhi 2 will mark Lawrence's first pan-India release as it will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Given that it stars Kangana as the female lead, it is expected to get a wide release in the Hindi heartland.
Filmmaker P Vasu has assembled a star-studded supporting cast, including Radhika Sarathkumar, Vadivelu, Lakshmi Menon, and Mahima Nambiar.
While there has been speculation about whether Chandramukhi 2 is a remake of Vasu's 2010 supernatural drama Aptharakshaka, details remain unclear at this point.
