Kangana Ranaut is currently seen hosting her OTT reality show Lock Upp on Alt Balaji.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to return to direction with her upcoming project. The Lock Upp host had turned a director with her 2019 release titled Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (which she had co-directed with Krish Jagarlamudi). The film also starred Ankita Lokhande, Jisshu Sengupta, Zeeshan Ayyub and Atul Kulkarni among others.
If recent reports doing the rounds are anything to go by, then Kangana is gearing up to produce, direct and star in her upcoming solo project, the announcement of which she is likely to make soon. Kangana had played the protagonist Rani Lakshmi Bai in Manikarna too and now she'll also be seen starring in her next directorial.
A report on ANI quoted the Panga actress as saying, "I will soon be coming up with my solo directorial project that will also be produced by me and I will also star in the project too."
Kangana has already launched her production house called Manikarnika Films in 2021 with her debut film Tiku Weds Sheru. The movie has Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur playing the protagonists and it is slated to hit the theatres this year. The film, which is touted to be a dark comedy drama will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical release.
Reportedly, Kangana will also be turning producer for her upcoming projects titled Emergency and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda.
The 35-year-old actress was last seen in the film Thalaivii which was released in 2021. Kangana made her debut as a host with Alt Balaji's OTT reality show Lock Upp.
On the work front, the actress has three back-to-back releases one after the other with Dhaakad, Tejas and The Incarnation: Sita.
