Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivii’s first romantic track titled Teri Aankhon Mein is set to release on Monday. The song features Kangana Ranaut as late actress and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa and Arvind Swamy as MGR and glimpses the on-screen chemistry of these cinematic legends. The latest track, composed by GV Prakash Kumar, has been rendered by Armaan Malik and Prajakta Shukre, with the lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil.
Paying homage to the late actor-politician, the makers of Thalaivii have also recreated the iconic original songs from the 1968 film Ragasiya Police 115, Kannae Kaniyae and Enna Porutham, besides Nam Naadu’s song Ninathathai Nadathiyae and Ninaithen Vanthai from the 1967 hit Kaavalkaaran.
Meanwhile, the latest teaser of Teri Aankhon Mein indicates that the forthcoming song will be a “look back at the timeless love story.” Kangana shared the teaser video on her Instagram and captioned, “#TeriAankhonMein beautifully captures the essence of falling in love. Relive the magical era of Jayalalithaa-MGR with the romantic tunes of #TeriAankhonMein #UnthanKangalilEnnadiyo #NeeKannulloEmunnado. Full song out on Monday! #ThalaiviiOnTheBigScreen #ThalaiviiInTheatres #Thalaivii (sic).”
