Suriya's look from Siva's film was released at 12.01 am on the occasion of the actor's birthday

After a long wait, the first-look of Suriya in Kanguva dropped at 12.01am on the occasion of the actor's birthday today (July 23). Suriya, plays the titular character Kanguva, and is seen in a menacing avatar as the son of spirit and fire. The way he rises from the flames and vows to save his people has set the internet on fire. And not to forget the line, "Nalama? (Are you fine)", which has already become a trendsetter of sorts.
The video that spans two minutes and 10 seconds, has made everyone sit up and take notice. This is the first time that Suriya will be seen in such an intense avatar in a period saga and hence, the hype around the film is like never before. The film marks the maiden collaboration between Siva and Suriya. The director had stated at a special screening that the actor had put in some extraordinary hard work and that the team is working hard to bring a quality product.

Kanguva marks the debut of Bollywood actress Disha Patani in Tamil and DSP's return to Kollywood after a hiatus. The film's producer KE Gnanavel Raja had earlier stated that he didn't want to restrict a film of such potential to a single language and hence, decided to opt for a pan-Indian project releasing in multiple languages.
