It's raining releases left, right and centre on Amazon Prime Video and we'll soon have a Kannada film titled Ikkat making its way to the platform on July 21. Starring Nagabhushana, Bhoomi Shetty, RJ Vikki, Sundar, Anand Ninasam and Naveen Chethan in pivotal roles, Ikkat tells the story of a newly married couple who just can't stand each other but need to survive the lockdown together by hook or crook. The couple later suspects that someone has entered their house amidst all the chaos. Thrills, fear and humour, Ikkat has got it all.

Directed by Esham and Haseen Khan, Ikkat lends a comic spin to life in the COVID-19 era with a novel premise. The tagline of Ikkat reads, 'Stay home. Stay shut.' The film is produced by Tara and Ayesha Khan. And of course, no discussion on the film would be complete without the mention of filmmaker Pawan Kumar, its presenter. Well, it's hard to keep him out of action for long, isn't it? Pawan has always stood up for the evolution of Kannada cinema and here he's lending support to a film that certainly deserves a shoutout.

"#Ikkat is comedy film made by my friends, it will premiere on Amazon Prime on 21st July. Extremely excited to bring it to you all from PKS. Watch it as soon as it's available. We all deserve to ROFL and lighten up, especially after surviving the last 15 months," Pawan shared across his social media handles. He's absolutely right that audiences need to take a chill-pill in these dark times. The dialogues of Ikkat have been written by Ramakrishna Ranagatti, Esham Khan, Haseen Khan while Lavith is its cinematographer.
