Kannada TV actress Chethana Raj passes away during plastic surgery, parents claim doctor negligence

Kannada actress Chethana Raj passed away on May 16th following complications during plastic surgery. The 21-year-old, reportedly, was undergoing a "fat free" plastic surgery at the time of her passing - the same reports reveal that Chethana Raj's health deteriorated in the evening hours of May 16 due to water accumulation in her lungs.

Known for her roles in Kannada daily soaps like 'Geetha' and 'Doresani', is said to have not informed her parents about the plastic surgery but instead went along with her friends to a private hospital in Bengaluru. The actor's parents have now accused the hospital of negligence and reportedly lodged a complaint against the authorities 

Chethana Raj's grandmother, while speaking to a private news channel, anguished over the tragic passing of her granddaughter. She would add that Chethana had spoken to her family members about undergoing the surgery but they were opposed to the idea citing health complications. Despite that, Chethana Raj would go ahead with her friends' suggestion and undergo the surgery that cost her close to Rs. 1.5 lakhs. In the same interview, Chethana Raj's grandmother adds that it was her friends who signed off the declaration form at the hospital, much to the dismay of her family. Chethana's death, based on the interview, is likely to have occurred around 4 pm on Monday, May 16th.

Chethana Raj's 'Doresani' co-star Prithvi Raj, fellow TV actress Sanjana Burli, and others alluded to the fact that young actors are known to often fall prey to plastic surgeries. Bothe Prithvi and Sanjana condoled the tragic passing of the 21-year-old budding actor.
