Arunoday Singh is presently looking forward to his new project release. The actor will be seen in Chandan Arora's web show, Kanneda, which is set to premiere on JioHotstar. The series follows the story of a Punjabi immigrant in Canada who battles racism and hardships through his songs. However, his journey towards becoming a rising star leads him into a dangerous territory. Arunoday, who plays Sarabjit in the show, revealed why he decided to sign up for the crime drama.
In an interview with Mid-Day, Arunoday Singh revealed what made him say yes to doing Kanneda, which will premiere on March 21 on streaming. The actor shared, "I could picture the story and see the characters. I then decided that I needed to be a part of the narrative. The story needed to be told. I have worked with a lot of lovely people, but this cast was special. Everyone is someone you want to bring your best to."
Singh further reflected on his journey and mentioned how he has been able to keep the actor in him hungry. Arunoday disclosed that he travels a lot, writes and sketches. He admitted that there have been times when he had 'months and years' between his project releases.
"I have also done two projects at the same time. So, this drill isn’t new to me. If I suddenly get wildly successful, that will be new to me," he added. Talking about his show Kanneda, it also stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Ranvir Shorey, Parmish Verma, Aadar Malik, Jasmin Bajwa and others.
When Kanneda's trailer dropped, Ranvir Shorey spilled beans about the crime drama, which will soon stream on JioHotstar. "Kanneda is a story set at the confluence of immigration, politics, crime and music. The script explores themes that are in the news today, and my character plays a pivotal part in the storyline. The trailer captures only a glimpse of the raw emotion and suspense that this show has to offer," revealed Shorey.
