Kanneda teaser OUT: Parmish Verma-led series brings struggles of a desi in a foreign land to life

The teaser for the new JioHotstar series Kanneda is out. The series features Parmish Verma in the lead, wherein he plays Nimma, who reaches Canada after fleeing the anti-Sikh riots of 1984. Produced by Jar Pictures and directed by Chandan Arora, it will premiere on JioHotstar on March 21, 2025. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Jasmin Bajwa, Arunoday Singh, Ranvir Shorey, and Parmish Verma play important parts in the series.

Glimpse into Nimma's journey

In the teaser, we see that once Nimma reaches Canada, unfortunately, nobody is ready to greet him; the streets are cruel, and the system is flawed. Follow Nimma as he crosses the country from Canada to Kanneda.

Producer's perspective of Kanneda

Ajay G. Rai, the producer of Kanneda, once observed that while power can be intoxicating, it also carries a significant risk in this world. Parmish has truly embodied Nimma in Kanneda, the story of the character. The music and soundtrack are also really helpful to the overall production.
