Kannil Pettole song from Thallumala: Tovino Thomas, Kalyani Priyadarshan live an uber cool life in this peppy number

The makers of Tovino Thomas’ upcoming movie Thallumala have released the movie’s first song. Titled Kannil Pettole, the song is a peppy number dominated by Kalyani Priyadarshan. 

The song has influences of pop and heavily relies on beats to get the listeners grooving. While it starts off with Arabic, the song also has portions of English rap as well as Malayalam. Vishnu Vijay and Irfana Hameed have sung the song, which has its Malayalam and Arabic lyrics written by Mu.Ri while Irfana Hameed has written the rap portions. Including some fun Malayalam lines, the song is composed and arranged by Vishnu Vijay. 

The visuals of the song stand out, with its vibrant colours and Kalyani Priyadarshan seen leading an uber luxurious life. She can be seen partying on a yacht in Dubai, flaunting her money and riding through the sandy deserts of the country. 

Tovino can also be seen wearing colourful and stylish clothing, while teaming up with a group and doing graffiti. While Kalyani portions seem to be shot in Dubai, Tovino’s looks like it is set in Kerala. 

It was reported that the movie’s makers have shot the movie in Thalassery, Kozhikode, Malappuram and also for two weeks in Dubai. The team had also shared character posters for both the leads, revealing Tovino’s character as Manavalan Waseem and Kalyani’s as Beepathu. 

Written by Muhsin Parari and Ashraf Hamza, the movie is directed by Khalid Rahman. Touted to be an all out entertainer, the movie’s producer told OTTplay that it will have eight fight scenes and eight songs. 

Also featuring Shine Tom Chacko, Lukman Avaran and Gokulan, the release details of the movie has not yet been annoucned.
