When and where to watch Kannur Squad?

Kannur Squad is all set to hit theatres on September 28. The team announced the release date after the film had cleared the censor board with a U/A rating. Touted to be a pacy investigative thriller set in different states, Kannur Squad will have Mammootty essaying the role of George Martin, a cop who along with his team of police personnel sets out to catch a few elusive criminals in a terrain unknown to any of them.

Mammootty’s previous movie that had him playing a cop and also showcased the life of a police team was Khalid Rahman’s Unda. Incidentally, Kannur Squad’s director Roby was the cinematographer of Unda.

Reasons to watch Kannur Squad

Kannur Squad marks the third production of Mammootty Kampany, after the hugely-acclaimed movies such as Rorschach and Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam – both of which were elemental in the megastar winning last year’s Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor.

The upcoming movie will also have Bheeshmaparvam composer Sushin Shyam’s music, which is sure to further elevate the gripping drama that was shot in Kerala as well as Maharashtra. Roby, who had previously worked as a cinematographer in Mammootty’s The Great Father, has had a unique way of presenting the megastar and Kannur Squad promises to be no different.
