Kannur Squad: The first look of Mammootty from the Roby Vargheese Raj's cop drama is out

It is a known fact that Malayalam superstar, Mamootty has joined hands with cinematographer-turned-director Roby Varghese Raj for a cop drama. The makers revealed the title 'Kannur Squad' in the month of January this year. Well, the makers have now released the first look of the film today. "Presenting The First Look Poster of Kannu Squad, Directed by Roby Varghese Raj & Produced by Mammootty Kampany, the megastar himself posted.

Mammotty plays a cop and is seen in an intense avatar in the first look poster. The shooting for this film has already begun a few months back. Kannur Squad is written by actor Rony David Raj and Muhammed Shafi. Rony had earlier shared screen space with the megastar in movies such as Daddy Cool, Best Actor and The Great Father.

Kannur Squad marks Mammootty Kampany’s fourth production venture after Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, Rorschach and Kaathal. Apart from Mammootty, the movie also has Rony, Deepak Parambol, Vijayaraghavan, Shabareesh Varma and Azees Nedumangad in pivotal roles.

The film will be shot in locations like Kannur, Kasargod, Wayanad, Ernakulam, Trivandrum, Paala, Pune, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Mangalore, and Coimbatore. Sushin Shyam is the music director, Tony Babu is taking care of the sound design and Shaji Naduvil is the production designer. Watch this space for more updates on this project.
