Rishab Shetty’s magnum opus Kantara Chapter 1 has been making waves in theaters with its record-breaking performance, as viewers are mesmerized by the cinematic experience. After completing a nine-day run, Kantara earned around Rs 22 crore in its net collection in India in all the languages, according to Sacnilk’s early estimates. In Hindi alone, it collected Rs 7-7.50 crore net (early estimates). With striking visuals and word-of-mouth publicity, Kantara is vying to overtake Mohit Suri’s romantic drama film Saiyaara as it inches closer to its record of Rs 570 crore worldwide. Kantara has already surpassed Rs 500 crore worldwide, and as we enter the second weekend, the movie is expected to double the numbers.

It had an occupancy of 7.35% for morning shows, while the afternoon shows had a slight jump to 12.63%, followed by the evening shows with 13.76% occupancy. The night shows had the highest occupancy of the day with 28.84%.
