It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Kantara has indeed cast a magical spell on the audience. The film, which is a period drama, set in the 19th century, has Rishab Shetty playing a Kambala athlete. The actor has also penned and directed the film. Kantara has opened to great word of mouth and theatres are packed to the rafters are filmgoers make a beeline to catch the latest Kannada film. On the box office front, too, the film is also setting the cash registers ringing.
Cashing in on the response and rising popularity of the film, the makers have now announced that the Hindi version of the trailer will be released soon. The film's director Rishab Shetty made the announcement on his social media page. He shared a new poster with the title in Hindi and wrote, "Get ready to be enchanted by the divinity. The plot revolves around a king who offers a piece of land to tribals in exchange for a deity which will bless him with happiness. Centuries later, one of the successors of the king, asks the tribals to return the land offered by his forefathers during the Bhoota Kala festival. The star cast includes Rishab Shetty, Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Prakash Thimunad, Naveen D Padli, to name a few. It is said that Rishad Shetty conceptualised the story during the lockdown in 2021. Music for the film is by Ajaneesh B Loknath, cinematography is by Arvind S Kashyap and editing is by KM Prakash and Pratheek Shetty. Kantara has been bankrolled by Vijay Kiraganduru. Words of appreciation have been flowing in for the film from all quarters.
