The Hindi version of Rishab Shetty's Kantara is all set to premiere on Netflix on the 9th of December. With the original Kannada version along with the dubbed Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam versions, already available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, all eyes are currently on the OTT debut of Kantara Hindi.

Kantara has already been released in six different languages with the Tulu dubbed version, which is currently running in cinema halls, slated to come out on OTT at a future date. But that's not all as Netflix announces that it will host not just the Hindi version but also the English dubbed version - the steaming giant took to social media to announce that while Kantara Hindi premieres on December 9, Kantara (English) will debut on their platform sometime in January.

"Now screaming 🗣️ because Kantara is coming to Netflix in Hindi on December 9th and English in January 🔥," said the official Netflix Indian Twitter handle.

Not very long ago, reports emerged regarding the English version of Kantara and that the makers were keen on widening their target audience with the addition. Following the incredible success of RRR and the likes in North America, Australia, and other English-speaking regions, one could see makers gradually growing keen on dubbing their films in English - Kantara, similarly, outdid the initial expectations and ran for 50 days straight in the U.S.A. alone.

Written and directed by Rishab Shetty, who also stars in the film as the main lead, Kantara released in theatres on September 30. Following the incredible word-of-mouth publicity in the first two weeks of the theatrical run, the film was soon after dubbed and released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam: the Hindi version alone managed to gross Rs. 80 crores. Kantara is the second highest-grossing Kannada film with over Rs. 400 crores and is only behind Prashanth Neel's KGF 2.
