Kantara star Rishab Shetty on Yash 19: 'It will exceed all expectations'

Kannada actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty became a household name across the country following the phenomenal success of his last film Kantara. Amid a lot of expectations, he has started working on the follow-up film to his career-making movie, Kantara. However, it won't be a sequel but, the upcoming film will narrate the incidents that happened before the events in Kantara. 

While everyone is waiting for Kantara 2, Rishab seems to be eager to see what movie star Yash has been working on. In a recent press conference, Rishab was confident that Yash will exceed all expectations with his next movie. 

"I have massive expectations (from Yash 19). Who isn't expecting his movie? All over the world, there is an expectation for his film now. And I think that the film will exceed all expectations. Because we can feel the amount of work that's being put into it. Every time before he comes, he delivers a punchline. Before the release of KGF 1, he said the world is my territory. And he achieved that with KGF 2. And he will give another good punchline when he arrives," Rishab said. 

Last year, Rishab and Yash increased the value of Kannada cinema across the world with their movies Kantara and KGF: Chapter 2, respectively. While KGF 2 collected over Rs 1200 crore from its worldwide ticket sales, Kantara stormed the box office across the country by raking in over Rs 400 crore on the budget of less than Rs 20 crore. 

Following the success of KGF 2, Yash has been working on his next project in the utmost secrecy. However, he has been hinting that the project will have a bigger scale and scope and it has only added to the expectations.
