Filmmakers Kanu Behl and Anurag Kashyap are not just talented but good friends as well. And both are at the prestigious ongoing 76th Cannes Film Festival with their films.
While Anurag's film Kennedy, which stars Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, Kanu's film Agra has been selected in the Directors’ Fortnight section.
OTTplay spoke to Kanu while he is at Cannes to ask him if he has met his friend there. Kanu said, "We managed to catch up briefly, but both of us are here with our cast and crew. Both of us are preparing for the film screening, press meet, other interactions, etc., because it is an elaborate process. I also met Vikram (referring to Vikramaditya Motwane). But I think we are up for a little celebration once all our screenings and official commitments are over at the end of the festival."
Kanu made his debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014 with the film Titli, which earned a Caméra d'Or nomination.
Anurag has been at the film festival earlier as a producer and director for many films, such as Udaan, The Lunchbox, and Ugly.
Agra, which stars Priyanka Bose, Mohit Agarwal, Vibha Chhibber, Aanchal Goswami, and Ruhani Sharma, is Kanu's second feature film after Titli.
