Kapil Sharma has paid his final condolences to comedian Raju Srivastava. The veteran stand-up comedian passed away in AAIMS, Delhi on September 21, 2022. Kapil hoped to meet Raju once again.

Paying his tribute, Kapil wrote on Instagram, “Aaj pehli baar aapne rulaaya hai Raju bhai.” He also hoped for Raju to be blessed by God and said that he would miss his fellow comedian a lot.

Kapil bid Raju goodbye and ended his caption writing, “Om shanti.” The actor shared a photo of him and Raju from the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show.

Co-incidentally, Raju’s last act on TV was The Kapil Sharma Show. He appeared on the show from 2016 to 2017.

In 2017, Raju also gave his last film in Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The actor has previously been a part of films like Tezaab, Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar and Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa.

Raju is, however, best remembered for his stand-up acts, mainly during The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Titled ‘The King Of Comedy,’ Raju was a runner-up on the show. His colleague Sunil Pal won the trophy on the show.

Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma, who also started getting noticed after The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, is awaiting the release of his film Zwigato. He is also coming back with his TV show, The Kapil Sharma Show. Whether Kapil would pay a tribute to Raju on the show and how, is yet to be known.

Raju Srivastava was being treated at AIIMS after he had a heart attack on August 10. His cremation would be held in Delhi’s Nigambodh Ghat on Thursday morning.
