Kapil Sharma reveals he had to cope with suicidal thoughts: Mujhe lagta tha ki koi hai hi nahi apna...

Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma is anticipating the release of his next film, Zwigato. His most recent feature film was the critically and commercially disastrous Firangi, which came out in 2017. The comedian went through a trying time in his life after the movie's failure as he struggled with despair and anxiety. Kapil recently discussed that time period and how he came out of it stronger than before.

Recently, the actor-comedian graced his presence at Aaj Tak's Seedhi Baat and opened up about the dark phase of his life. During the conversation, Kapil disclosed that he had even thought about suicide before getting himself together. When questioned if he had ever experienced suicide thoughts, the celebrity nodded and responded, "Mujhe lagta tha ki koi hai hi nahi apna, dikhta hi tha aisa kuch. Na koi samjhaane wala tha, na koi take care karne wala."

Moving forward, he further added, "In that phase, I thought about committing suicide. I thought there is nobody with whom I can share what I feel. The place where I come from, mental health is not something that is discussed. I don’t think this was the first time that I went through this phase. Maybe, during childhood, I must have felt low, but nobody would have noticed. Once you go out to earn money, and you are single, there’s nobody to take care of you, to make you understand things, you do not get to know if people around you have ulterior motives, especially if you are an artist. But after you go through such a phase, you start to take notice of things going around you. Your eyes open up. If an artist is sensitive, it doesn’t mean that he is stupid."

On the professional front, Kapil Sharma is currently preparing for the release of Nandita Das' forthcoming movie Zwigato.  He portrays a food delivery agent in the movie, which will be released on March 17.
