Kapil Sharma is known to roast his own self on his TV show, The Kapil Sharma Show. He has spilled the beans about the same in his recent interview. Kapil revealed that he started roasting himself because he is weak in English.

While talking to Bollywood Bubble, Kapil recalled his first time in Mumbai. He heard four people (an expression) talking in English and felt that everyone talks in English only. For the uninitiated, Kapil is from Chandigarh, where there is a higher influence of Hindi and of course, Punjabi.

Kapil felt conscience since every person in Mumbai spoke to him in English and he was weak in the language. However, that did not stop him and Kapil started roasting his own self over his weak English.

“Slowly I realised, ki vo toh jab aayegi tab aayegi, tab tak kya main social hona chodd dunga?,” he asked. The actor needed to socialize with celebrities if he wanted to make it in the industry and thus, he did not let the language barrier stop him.

Kapil spilled the beans on the very fact that once you roast yourself, nobody can insult you. That is exactly how he overcame his fear about being judged for his weak English.

Kapil Sharma started gaining fame with his stint on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He then came to Comedy Circus and eventually, started his own show and called it The Kapil Sharma Show. His show brought some of the biggest names of the industry together.

Kapil admitted that he still gets nervous when he meets someone he is a fan of. He feels that it is better that people do not approach him because he has no idea how to break the ice with them.

The actor is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Zwigato. The Nandita Das directorial has now released in theatres.
