Karam on OTT: Netizens point out the flaws in this action thriller, from Noble Babu's weak script to Shaan Rahman's music

Karam, the most recent film directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, debuted on OTT last Friday (November 7). Similar to its theatrical reception, the action thriller starring Noble Babu Thomas is receiving primarily unfavourable reviews from viewers, with many pointing out the film's numerous shortcomings.

A lot of people have shared their opinions about the movie on social media, and most of them claim that neither the plot nor the performances are particularly noteworthy or engaging. Meanwhile, Karam is usually regarded as Vineeth's weakest film, with many finding it dreary with numerous cliches. In the meantime, Shaan Rahman's music in the film has drawn criticism from many viewers since it doesn't fit certain scenes or heighten the action thriller's suspense.

"Background score could have been better.. The writing & making is so underwhelming and not impressive enough," a user wrote on X. Social media users claim that the film has fewer favourable qualities. This is surprising, though, because despite their flaws, Vineeth's films have never received such harsh feedback from viewers. 

Even on OTT, it has been referred to as an avoidable movie because of all its poor attributes. At the same time, Vineeth's Karam is seen as a one-time action drama devoid of his usual love or friendship tropes.

The movie, which is available for streaming on Manorama Max and Amazon Prime Video, is about Dev Mahendran, a former army soldier who meets his ex-girlfriend in Lenarco. He risks his life and the safety of his family to save her, who is at present a victim of human trafficking. Ivan Vukomanovic, Audrey Miriam, Vishnu G Varrier, Johny Antony, Vineeth Chakyar, Manoj K Jayan, Reshma Sebastian, and Kalabhavan Shajohn are among the actors in this action drama. The screenplay for Karam was also written by Noble Babu Thomas.
