Vineeth Sreenivasan's latest directorial, Karam, hit the big screens worldwide today (September 25). In order to avoid creating any hype before the film's theatrical debut, the actor and director kept the film low-key and engaged in fewer promotional activities. This makes sense now since viewers' reactions to the action thriller are now conflicted.

Netizens review Vineeth Sreenivasan's Karam

On social media, a lot of people have expressed their thoughts about the film, and the majority of them say that the filmmaker has succeeded in making it worthy in terms of production value and technical aspects.

In the meantime, it was widely commented that, with regard to plot and performances, Karam is unquestionably Vineeth's worst movie, with many people calling it predictable and dismal.

According to a few, the absence of prominent figures has also affected the film, making it difficult for audiences to empathise with the characters' feelings or excitement. "Karam looks stylish and has a fair share of action, but the impact is very limited," a user commented on X.

According to social media users, there are fewer positive aspects in the movie, but Karam is regarded as a one-time action drama directed by Vineeth without his typical romantic or friendship clichés.

What is Karam all about?

The film is centred on former army officer Dev Mahendran runs into his ex-girlfriend in Lenarco. She is currently a victim of human trafficking and he puts his life and his family's safety at danger in order to save her. According to OTTplay's assessment, Karam, which mostly relies on a generic action-thriller format centred around a lone hero, is sure to disappoint you if you enjoyed Vineeth's prior directorial, Thira.
