The upcoming period drama Lahore 1947 has piqued everyone's attention for all the right reasons. The film will reunite veteran director Rajkumar Santoshi and actor Sunny Deol. Ever since the announcement, fans have been intrigued to know all the minor updates about the project. Now, the recent update states that Sunny Deol's son Karan Deol has been roped in for the film.

The film brings together the trio of Rajkumar Santoshi, Sunny Deol, and Aamir Khan as a producer for the first time. There were speculations about Karan auditioning for the role in the film a few days ago. Well, now it has been confirmed that the actor has been finalized for a crucial character in Lahore 1947.
According to the recent update, Karan will be seen playing the role of Javed. Actor-producer Aamir Khan revealed details about his character saying that he is thrilled that Karan has been roped in for a crucial role in the film and that his sincerity and natural innocence are perfect for the role of Javed.
"Karan has really applied himself, worked hard, done workshops with ADISHAKTI, rehearsals with Raj, and is giving it his all. Javed is a great part, a very challenging part, and I am sure that with Raj Santoshi to direct him, Karan will nail it," Aamir added.
This is the first time where the father-son duo, Sunny and Karan, will come together on screen. After the blockbuster success of Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma, all eyes are on Sunny and his next project. People are waiting with bated breath for his upcoming project and hence every detail about Lahore 1947 has been getting all the attention.
Meanwhile, talking about the film, Lahore 1947 will be produced by Aamir Khan under his production house Aamir Khan Productions while Rajkumar Santoshi will don the director's hat for the project. Apart from Sunny Deol, the film will also see Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi in important parts .
