Karan Johar announces his 'Action Film', shoot to commence after the release of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

Karan Johar celebrated his 50th birthday on May 25. The ace filmmaker took to his social media handle and announce a special new venture on his special day. According to the latest post, the upcoming project is going to be an action film.

Karan shared a special note on his Instagram handle to announce his latest venture that he is planning to commence after the release of his highly anticipated movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He mentioned in his latest post that though it's his 50th birthday he still feels like a millennial. "Some call it a mid-life crisis, I proudly call it 'just living life without any apologies,' he added.

He further added in the note that he has worked for over 27 years in Indian cinema and is blessed to have had the best experience of his life. All his sleeplessness is worth it as he has enjoyed his work of telling stories, creating content, nurturing talent and watching the finest artist perform in front of him. 

Towards the end of his long note, the filmmaker added, "I would like to announce my next directorial feature... Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will release on the 10th of February 2023. And I will commence the shoot of my ACTION FILM in APRIL 2023." 

He further asked his fans and followers to love and bless him and ended the note by saying, "JugJugg Jeeyo to all of you..."

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani marks the come back of Karan in feature directorial after 5 years. The family entertainer, which stars Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt alongside the veteran stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in major roles with Tota Roy Chowdhury and Churni Ganguly in key roles, is set to hit cinemas on February 10, 2023.
