Karan Johar announces release date of Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

Karan Johar’s next directorial venture, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani has finally got a release date. The upcoming romantic family drama will hit theatres on February 10, 2023.

The announcement was made by the popular filmmaker on his social media handles today accompanied by a short clip from the sets of the film. The video contains some BTS footage from the film featuring Johar along with the film’s cast, hard at work and sharing laughs.

Viewers are introduced to the characters ; Rocky played by Ranveer Singh; Rani played by Alia Bhatt; and the ‘parivaar’ or family which includes the characters portrayed by Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will be Johar’s latest feature film directorial after a hiatus. His last directorial venture was 2016’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Johar had also directed parts of the anthology films Lust Stories (2018) and Ghost Stories (2020) for Netflix.

The film is produced under the banners of Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios.
