To celebrate Daughter's Day, filmmaker Karan Johar shared an adorable cake-cutting video with his children—Roohi and Yash on September 22.

Karan Johar, who is currently basking in the success of his never-seen-before action drama—Kill, which is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, is gearing up for his next production film, Jigra. It is also jointly backed by Alia Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine. However, despite being extremely busy with his upcoming ventures, Johar never fails to spend time and celebrate every occasion with his cute kids—Yash and Roohi. Today, on the special occasion of Daughter's Day, he took to social media and shared an endearing video with his kids.
The 52-year-old filmmaker dropped an adorable video, where he can be seen celebrating Daughter's Day with Roohi and Yash while cutting a delicious chocolate cake. In the video, we hear that Johar is saying that as he believes in equality, hence it's both daughter's and son's day for him.

In the caption, KJo wrote an emotional and inspirational paragraph, which will warm your heart. He wrote, “Equality….Something I believe in very strongly….and something that has been inculcated in me by my progressive and liberal mother…my father too was a proud feminist… he may not have been able to completely comprehend or articulate the phenomena of empowerment but his actions more than reiterated his core beliefs.”
The filmmaker further added, “Have at a tiny age tried to bring that value system as a parent! We all wear pink! We all wear blue! We tried each other Rakhi on the auspicious Raksha Bandhan day, and we celebrate sons and daughters on every day…we try…best any parent can do…but baby steps can make full grown morality changes in our emotional eco system…Here's to compassion and to human empathy!.”
Karan made his last directorial venture with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in 2023. He is currently backing Alia's upcoming film, Jigra, which also stars Vedang as Bhatt's on-screen brother.
Other than that, Johar also has a big-budget web series in his pipeline. The production of the series is ready to go on floors in early 2025.
