Karan Johar feels grateful as he wraps up 2022 sharing a video ft Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit and others

The talented filmmaker Karan Johar had a truly spectacular year in 2022. Jugjugg Jeeyo and Brahmstra: Part One - Shiva, which were both produced by Dharma Productions and did incredibly well at the box office. In contrast to Brahmastra, which made over Rs 400 crores worldwide, Jugjugg Jeeyo made over Rs 100 crores at the box office. Additionally, Season 7 of his talk show Koffee With Karan, which was widely appreciated on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar, aired in August and September of this year. 

Karan additionally made an appearance as a judge in the dance competition Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Govinda Naam Mera, a movie produced by Dharma Productions, released on Disney Plus Hotstar at the beginning of December. This movie is performing well on OTT platform as well. 

The well-known director posted a video on Instagram thanking all of his fans and well-wishers as 2022 comes to a close. He captioned this video, “Calling it an almost wrap on 2022 and what a year it has been! Grateful.”

Bollywood stars including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Farah Khan, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sara Ali Khan, and Anil Kapoor can be seen in the video. The video also includes tidbits from his next movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Brahmastra promotions, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and Koffee With Karan.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt’s debut movie Student of the Year was also helmed by Karan Johar in 2012. Their latest collaboration Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani also features Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. After seven years, Karan Johar is back in the director's chair with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He calls the movie "a story that runs deep to the roots of our family traditions".
