Karan Johar on his guests roasting him on Koffee With Karan: Sometimes I deserve it

Karan Johar seems to be as sharp as ever when it comes to his hosting duties on Koffee With Karan 7. The show saw some delightful banter between Karan and his guests, many of whom also did not shy away from spilling the beans during their appearance on the couch. In addition to banter, some of the guests on the show also did not hold back on giving Karan a piece of their minds, leading to some fun roasting. The host recently opened up about his guests roasting him on the show.

In conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Karan opened up about the episode which featured Aamir Khan, where the actor did not hold back in dissing Karan. Karan said that Aamir was his friend, whom he had nothing but love and respect for. The host said that ribbing each other was what friends did in a candid environment which did not have cameras rolling.

Karan said that Aamir had the full right to roast him, and a lot of the things the actor said had been right too. Calling Aamir hilarious, the host said that he felt Aamir had been very comfortable on the show and was completely at ease to be himself, not caring about the cameras rolling. “Even if they’re giving it back to me, sometimes, I deserve it”, said Karan.

Karan went on to talk about how important it was to have a sense of humour, and that he never shied away from self deprecating humour. He said people should be able to take jokes directed at them, as well as joke around with other people as well.
