It is a day of celebration for Bollywood and a massive fandom celebrates this day. Superstar Salman Khan celebrates his 58th birthday today, and wishes are flooding in as we speak. As his contemporaries and friends from the industry continue to shower him with love, one wish and a tsunami of love that has stood out is that of Karan Johar. The filmmaker, in a very long post, has showered Khan with praise and all the admiration Karan has for his Kuch Kuch Hota Hai star. The filmmaker shared a picture from the film, and his post is all love.

To brush up on your memory, Karan Johar has directed Salman Khan in his cult classic movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Salman had a cameo as Aman, who is about to marry Kajol’s character Anjali in the second half of the film. Karan took to Instagram and shared the story of how Khan got on board Kuch Kuch Hota Hai even without hearing his part of the narration. The story is indeed heartwarming.

Karan Johar wrote, “25 years ago, I was at a party, lost and confused…. A massive movie star came up to me and asked me why I was standing in a corner … I told him I had been to several actors for a part but was politely rejected … the superstar's sister is close to me, so he graciously said she had spoken highly of my script and that I should meet him the next day to narrate the film to him. In my wildest dreams, I never imagined I would even get the opportunity for a narration.”

“I went with a prayer in my heart and a deep desire for a miracle and narrated the first half of the film like my life depended on it… He looked at me at the interval point (by then I was looking like I was in the Sahara desert and water could keep me alive) kindly offered me water and said “ I’m on!!! “ I was perplexed and said but “ you are in the second half,” you haven’t heard it? He said “ I love your father and my sister will kill me if I don’t do this movie,” and that’s how Salman Khan was in KKHH …. I am deeply grateful to Alvira and my father’s goodwill for making sure I had the perfect Aman and SALMAN KHAN in my debut film! Gestures and stories like this just don’t happen today! Happy birthday Salman! So much love and respect for you always … Also 25 years later we will finally have a story to tell again… not saying any more than that. Happy happy birthday,” Karan Johar added.

Regarding the final sentence of Karan Johar's post, his production company Dharma recently revealed their upcoming project with Salman Khan, which will see him in the Vishnuvardhan-directed film The Bull. Reports say that Bull is expected to be released on Eid 2025. However, it is fascinating to see Salman Khan re-establish himself as the superstar who can still pull the audience towards the theatres. After a series of duds, it took a Pathaan cameo and a Tiger 3 to bring him back to his A-game.
