It's official! Pushpa 2 star Sreeleela is all set to romance Kartik Aaryan in the upcoming romantic film, which was previously titled, Aashiqui 3. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film is slated to release on Diwali, 2025. On February 15, the makers dropped the teaser of the film and it garnered a lot of attention. Now, Karan Johar took to his social media account and reviewed the teaser of Anurag's upcoming film.

Karan Johar took to his Instagram Story and re-shared the teaser of Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela's upcoming romantic film. He praised the teaser and wrote a sweet note for Anurag Basu's film.
He penned, "The beauty of love stories... the passion, the romance and the music! SuPer vibe! All on point!!! Excited."

The upcoming pair of Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela are set to showcase their sizzling chemistry in producer Bhushan Kumar’s musical world, directed by Anurag Basu. It is an intense love story that promises to captivate the heart. The teaser of the film showed Kartik flaunting his lover's look with a heavy beard and unkempt long hair. On the other hand, Sreeleela joined him and can be seen keeping her head on his shoulder as he played the guitar.
For the uninitiated, Triptii Dimri was originally cast as the female lead. However, a Zoom report said that Triptii couldn't fit into Aashiqui's world due to her bold portrayal in Animal.
Kartik made an official announcement of Aashiqui 3 in September 2022. Sharing a glimpse of the third installment on his Instagram, the actor wrote, "Ab Tere Bin Ji Lenge Hum Zeher Zindagi Ka Pi Lenge Hum Aashiqui3 This one is going to be Heart-wrenching !! My First with Basu Da (sic)."
In a recent interview with ANI, Anurag Basu said, "We will start the shoot next month" (March). In an interview with HT City, Anurag mentioned that Aashiqui 3 will undergo a title change, with the new title set to be announced soon.
