What's the plot of Mardaani 3

Mardaani 3 (2026) is a crime thriller featuring Rani Mukerji reprising her role as the fearless SP Shivani Shivaji Roy. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the plot follows Shivani battling a massive, organised child-trafficking network, facing off against a ruthless antagonist named Amma.

Shivani Shivaji Roy investigates a, sinister, city-wide child trafficking ring where 93 young, underprivileged girls have vanished. The case intensifies when the daughter of an Indian ambassador is kidnapped, leading Shivani to uncover an intricate web orchestrated by the villainous Amma. The story focuses on the social marginalization of the victims, where Shivani fights against the "begging mafia" and uses unconventional methods when the system fails to take swift action.

The narrative highlights how society and law enforcement often disregard crimes against the poor and marginalised. It also explores the exploitation of children by illicit syndicates. Mardaani 3 continues the theme of a strong, incorruptible woman (Shivani) fighting against overwhelming odds.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Yash Raj Films, Mardaani 3 is running at a theatre near you.
