Karan Patel has done several shows in the Indian television space. The actor is best known for his character Raman Bhalla from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Apart from fiction shows, Karan has been a part of reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi, Nach Baliye, and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa among others. However, the actor has never done Bigg Boss. The actor believes that the controversial reality has become 'dirty' and 'disrespectful'.
Karan Patel calls Bigg Boss 'dirty'
In an interview with ETimes TV, Karan Patel spoke about Bigg Boss makers getting TikTok users and influencers in the BB house as contestants. "So where has your understanding and level of calling people or treating people like celebrities has come down to?," said Karan.
Karan further mentioned earlier Bigg Boss strictly had actors. According to him, the makers started spoiling the entire format by getting actors with commoners and some commoners from the 'lower section' of society. "It's become such a dirty, disrespectful show to even be associated with," added Patel.
Karan Patel reveals his mother loves to watch Bigg Boss
In the same conversation, Karan Patel revealed that his mother loves to watch the reality show Bigg Boss. He mentioned that his mom loves to see the couples and what happens between them on the reality show. "Who doesn't like to gossip in India? And the biggest source of gossip is daily soap," added Karan.
The actor continued to state that there are so many affairs in daily soaps, not necessarily in India. He recalled the time his character got married to the same girl thrice in a daily soap. Moreover, he had a child with his former wife in the same show.
Karan Patel's work front
On the work front, Karan Patel was last seen in Darran Chhoo. Directed by Bharat Ratan, the star cast of the film also included Kiran Bhargava, Amit Dolawat, Ashutosh Rana, Smriti Kalra, Pragati Anand among others. The film was released in cinemas in October 2023.
