Ranbir Kapoor has had a lot of attention on him following his wedding to actor Alia Bhatt, following which he had two massive movies set to hit theatres. The first of these, Shamshera, hit theatres last month after a lot of fanfare, but failed at the box office. Kareena Kapoor Khan has now reacted to the box office failure of Ranbir’s movie.

“I am nobody to talk about a particular film because (a) I haven’t seen the film. And (b) I think everybody operates differently. Everybody, kind of, treats and takes their film very differently. Like I said, some people are very attached and some people are not,” Kareena told India Today.

The actor added that it is a very individualistic thing and that every actor and director operates and comes from a different place. She further added that it would be “very wrong” of her to comment on the failure of the movie.

Shamshera, which was reportedly mounted on a massive budget of Rs. 150 crore, is now struggling to cross the Rs. 50 crore mark. While the movie made a little over Rs. 30 crore on its first weekend, the negative reviews and bad word of mouth stopped the movie from taking off.

“Shamshera is not that bad a film given the track record of Hindi movies we have seen in recent times. However, it might still be cliched for many who have been enjoying the flavours that KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, and Pushpa: The Rise Part 1 offered in the past few months,” read the movie’s review on OTTplay.

Directed by Karan Malhotra, the movie also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in the lead.
