Kiran Rao's directorial Laapataa Ladies achieved a mind-blowing milestone as the film has been chosen as India's official entry for the Oscars 2025. Produced by Aamir Khan, the film stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam, and others in the main roles. After the news was out, praises were showered on the whole cast, director, and crew. Now, a while ago, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor reacted to the news and expressed their happiness.
On September 24, Kareena took to her Instagram Story and shared a post related to Laapataa Ladies becoming India's official entry for Oscars 2025.

In a recent interview with Indian Express, veteran filmmaker and Jury chairman Jahnu Barua shared the factors for choosing Laapataa Ladies as India's official entry to Oscars 2025. Notably, he headed the jury that decided on India's official entry to the 97th Oscars.
He said, "The jury has to look at the right film that represents India on all fronts. Particularly, the film has to represent India’s social systems and ethos. The Indianness is very important, and Laapataa Ladies scored on that front."
Reacting to the special news, Aamir Khan Productions shared a story on their official Instagram handle on September 23. They wrote, "It is important that the best suited film, which represents India, is sent as the official entry to the Oscars."
